North Texas Directors of Volunteers in Agencies was formed in 2003 so that volunteer managers would have a DOVIA convenient to the northern counties of the Metroplex. From the beginning, NT DOVIA offered conferences for volunteer managers and participated in the planning committee for the Volunteer Management Conference held annually in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We strive to provide monthly educational and networking opportunities for volunteer managers, which include presentations from top professionals in the field of volunteer management and related topics. NT DOVIA has 501(c)3 non-profit status.
Meetings are held at various locations in Denton County the second Thursday of each Month, excluding August.
The mission of North Texas DOVIA is to enhance the professionalism of its members, offer opportunities for learning, and advance the creative use of voluntary human resources by sharing knowledge, experiences, and skills.
